Born again voters no longer favor republican candidates

Born Again Voters No Longer Favor Republican Candidates

One of the most reliable constituencies of the Republican Party in recent years has been born again Christians. Our latest national survey of likely voters, however, shows that the Republican Party has lost the allegiance of many born again voters. The November election is truly up for grabs - and if the election were held today, most born again voters would select the Democratic Party nominee for president, whoever that might be. The study also looks at the preferences of evangelicals, the role of "values voters," and people’s beliefs about whether Mormons are Christians. Read these new insights into the future of our country and the role that people of faith are playing in it by clicking here.

Born Again Voters 2008

Maybe Christ followers are saying that there are more issues than abortion and same sex marriage.  Ridding America and the world of extreme poverty and disease are also important issues.  Three billion people live on less than $2 a day.  35,000 children under the age of five die daily from preventable disease mostly caused by unsafe drinking water.  To the Christ follower, it's not about wars and protecting self.  To the Christ follower it's all about people and giving one's self for others.  Christ died for ALL people!

(Matthew 22:36-39 NIV)  ""Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" {37} Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' {38} This is the first and greatest commandment. {39} And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"

Just a thought....

Do your neighbors go to church?

If not, do you know why? Their reasons are probably not the ones you'd expect. New research reveals why people leave churches and what you and your church can do to bring them back.
